Steps to develop a content roadmap:

  1. Compare internal and external inventories to identify:
    1. Live assets
    2. Orphaned assets
  2. Identify any redundant or outdated/trash assets.
  3. Compare live assets against google analytics to identify:
    1. Strong pages
    2. Weak pages
    3. Goal/conversion effectiveness
  4. Make decisions about any content that needs to be removed, pages that can be consolidated or updated, and any assets no longer in use that need to be deleted from the web host.
  5. Have business goals, objectives, or conversions changed?
  6. Based on your content roadmap, craft new or updated content and deploy.
